Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a BLM LT8 3D Tube Laser Operator.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating our BLM LT8 3D tube laser, including loading and unloading materials, adjusting programs and steady rest jaws, and measuring parts using micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and other various measuring devices.
The role will initially involve training during the day shift for the first 2-3 weeks until the candidate is comfortable running autonomously.
Responsibilities:
Operate BLM LT8 3D tube laser machine efficiently and safely.
Load and unload materials onto the machine.
Adjust programs and steady rest jaws as required for different jobs.
Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices to ensure accuracy.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the machine or the production process.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating BLM LT8 3D tube laser machine or similar equipment preferred.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures accurately.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Willingness to work 2nd shift with potential for overtime.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
